Well-being sector: Kate Taylor talks about future

As I mentioned in the previous post We as in Events Management students were able to met with Kate Taylor today via online session. It was a positive wave of energy and acquisition that I experienced earlier today. She was mainly talking about the Awakening festival and how she managed to partly transform it into online setting. Furthermore, she could not ephasised enough the key role of creativity and finding new approaches to engage with people in these hard times and in so keep the brand “warm“ as she said herself. And last but not least she shared with us a few ideas on how to be in touch with the customers and intesnify the role of hospitality.

The Awakening festival is for Kate very personal and genuine. From the meeting I can tell that she really cares about people and their problems within their mental health. So even if she could have decided to not to go ahead with any type of event, it was a clear option for her to go with online type of festival. The challenge of bringing the atmosphere to the customers homes was quite tough, yet by using music effects, smells and other aspects she was able to create a space where everyone can feeel relaxed and really being part of that community that she have builted on the original live festival.

The creativity, as she stated is and will be the most crucial part in the future for the event industry. Use every little thought that our minds gives us could save the business. Find new and more deep approaches to reach the people in order to mantain the brand awarness and in so keep the brand “warm“ is going to claim its place in the event industry in the next few years. According to Kate, people will put stress on role of hospitality as they will be more strict about worth for the money the spend on the actual service. The amount of care will reflect on the company success. Pay attention to customers even before they buy tickets until the very last moment of the event and maybe go even a little beyond that.
